Our mission is to provide a safe fun inclusive environment for physically disabled people of all ages both male and female and all abilities. We are a club that welcomes you to play competitively\, or for fun and want everyone who joins to have a sense of belonging and to enjoy being part of the wheelchair rugby community. \nOspreys Wheelchair Rugby Club was formally known as South Wales Pirates it was formed in September 1989 after a demonstration of the game was held at Sophia Gardens. The original team was made up of Keith Jones\, Paul Davies\, Paul Jenkins and Gareth Stokes\, although only a small team The Pirates were very successful winning 4 National titles\, 5 league titles and 2 Silver medals at European club Championship level. The players within the team went on to have many successes playing for Great Britain. The Pirates then changed there name and came under the Ospreys banner on there 25th Anniversary in 2014. \nPaul Jenkins became Ospreys head coach coaching the team on many successful campaigns for a number of years. Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby team are now coached by head coach Gareth Stokes who still plays\, Gareth played for GB wheelchair rugby at International level and was also a bowls world champion. \nKeith Jones now Ospreys assistant coach alongside his wife Kath jones were stalwarts of wheelchair rugby within Wales with Keith being part of the GB team that competed in Atlanta in 1996 & Sydney 2000. Keith was honoured in 2023 by being inducted into the GBWR Hall of Fame For his passion and commitment to wheelchair rugby within Wales. Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby is a club full of passion and drive\, were lucky to have a brilliant support network of people to ensure that this continues for the future.

DESCRIPTION:We are a wheelchair rugby club based in Aberavon\, Port Talbot. Our mission is to provide a safe fun inclusive environment for physically disabled people of all ages both male and female and all abilities. We are a club that welcomes you to play competitively\, or for fun and want everyone who joins to have a sense of belonging and to enjoy being part of the wheelchair rugby community. \nOspreys Wheelchair Rugby Club was formally known as South Wales Pirates it was formed in September 1989 after a demonstration of the game was held at Sophia Gardens. The original team was made up of Keith Jones\, Paul Davies\, Paul Jenkins and Gareth Stokes\, although only a small team The Pirates were very successful winning 4 National titles\, 5 league titles and 2 Silver medals at European club Championship level. The players within the team went on to have many successes playing for Great Britain. The Pirates then changed there name and came under the Ospreys banner on there 25th Anniversary in 2014. \nPaul Jenkins became Ospreys head coach coaching the team on many successful campaigns for a number of years. Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby team are now coached by head coach Gareth Stokes who still plays\, Gareth played for GB wheelchair rugby at International level and was also a bowls world champion. \nKeith Jones now Ospreys assistant coach alongside his wife Kath jones were stalwarts of wheelchair rugby within Wales with Keith being part of the GB team that competed in Atlanta in 1996 & Sydney 2000. Keith was honoured in 2023 by being inducted into the GBWR Hall of Fame For his passion and commitment to wheelchair rugby within Wales. We are a club that welcomes you to play competitively\, or for fun and want everyone who joins to have a sense of belonging and to enjoy being part of the wheelchair rugby community. \nOspreys Wheelchair Rugby Club was formally known as South Wales Pirates it was formed in September 1989 after a demonstration of the game was held at Sophia Gardens. The original team was made up of Keith Jones\, Paul Davies\, Paul Jenkins and Gareth Stokes\, although only a small team The Pirates were very successful winning 4 National titles\, 5 league titles and 2 Silver medals at European club Championship level. The players within the team went on to have many successes playing for Great Britain. The Pirates then changed there name and came under the Ospreys banner on there 25th Anniversary in 2014. \nPaul Jenkins became Ospreys head coach coaching the team on many successful campaigns for a number of years. Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby team are now coached by head coach Gareth Stokes who still plays\, Gareth played for GB wheelchair rugby at International level and was also a bowls world champion. \nKeith Jones now Ospreys assistant coach alongside his wife Kath jones were stalwarts of wheelchair rugby within Wales with Keith being part of the GB team that competed in Atlanta in 1996 & Sydney 2000. SUMMARY:Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby Youth Team
DESCRIPTION:We are a wheelchair rugby club based in Aberavon\, Port Talbot. Our mission is to provide a safe fun inclusive environment for physically disabled people of all ages both male and female and all abilities. We are a club that welcomes you to play competitively\, or for fun and want everyone who joins to have a sense of belonging and to enjoy being part of the wheelchair rugby community. \nOspreys Wheelchair Rugby Club was formally known as South Wales Pirates it was formed in September 1989 after a demonstration of the game was held at Sophia Gardens. The original team was made up of Keith Jones\, Paul Davies\, Paul Jenkins and Gareth Stokes\, although only a small team The Pirates were very successful winning 4 National titles\, 5 league titles and 2 Silver medals at European club Championship level. The players within the team went on to have many successes playing for Great Britain. The Pirates then changed there name and came under the Ospreys banner on there 25th Anniversary in 2014. \nPaul Jenkins became Ospreys head coach coaching the team on many successful campaigns for a number of years. Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby team are now coached by head coach Gareth Stokes who still plays\, Gareth played for GB wheelchair rugby at International level and was also a bowls world champion. \nKeith Jones now Ospreys assistant coach alongside his wife Kath jones were stalwarts of wheelchair rugby within Wales with Keith being part of the GB team that competed in Atlanta in 1996 & Sydney 2000. Keith was honoured in 2023 by being inducted into the GBWR Hall of Fame For his passion and commitment to wheelchair rugby within Wales. Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby is a club full of passion and drive\, were lucky to have a brilliant support network of people to ensure that this continues for the future.
