SUMMARY:Kidz to Adultz North
DESCRIPTION:Kidz to Adultz North is a free exhibition for children and young adults (up to the age of twenty-five) who have disabilities or additional needs. The exhibition is great for parents\, carers and professionals (physiotherapists\, speech therapists\, occupational therapists\, SEN teachers\, support workers etc) who support them. \nOver 100 exhibits bring together professionals\, charities\, businesses\, and organisations to showcase their services\, equipment\, products and to give advice on how to support individuals with disabilities and additional needs as well as helping children and young people to support themselves. \nThis is a hands-on opportunity to speak to professionals and specialists about your or your child’s needs and try equipment that may be beneficial. \nSome of the products available to try are: \n\nMobility aids. Wheelchairs\, walkers etc\nCommunication tools and technology\nSensory equipment\n\nThere will also be specialists and exhibitions to support individuals with disabilities or additional needs with their transition from childhood to adulthood. \nA fun zone\, soft play area and interactive activities and fun sessions will create a safe environment for young children to explore\, play and learn. There will be entertainment for the whole family. \nTo celebrate the festive season\, Santa will be welcoming children into his Grotto! \nWith it being a community event\, families will be able to meet and chat with other families who have children with disabilities or additional needs. Young people will have the chance to meet others who may be in a similar situation. \nThis event aims to support children and young people as they grow and develop into young adults. The goal is to provide solutions to ensure they can gain independence and reach their full potential.
